Yeah the wind doesn't bother me too much (maybe i'm just not going fast enough..). I can handle the occasional push from the wind but can't say i'm such a fan of the slippery-when-wet roads.

as a note the weather forcast has changed to drizzle which means it may get worse and i am not up for riding in the rain and high wind at night though if the rain holds out i may still come

Is still very dry here in Wellington City. Although a bit windy, it's a warm wind so the temp is up.

The wind is also dropping a tad according the metservice (dropped from strong to moderate) which is a good sign. Another is that the wind is a NW and seeing as north is fine we shouldn't really get any rain.

I'll be there at 6.

Outcome still not confirmed but I am fearing the worst.

Every panel is marked. main panels cracked. mudguard cracked. Exhaust has dents and scratches. Forks totally buggered. Tank has dent in top. Pack rack munted. All switches on bars buggered. foot brake bent and twisted. I expect that the wheel will be buckled or at least have a flat spot. Be interested to know if the frame is ok.

It all adds up. I'll be very surprised if they decide to repair.

One plus! I walked away unscathed.
