Anyone hear about the motorcyclist hit by the train in Feiding this morning? Monie just rang me, she heard it on the radio.

No I just woke up. Hit by a train you say... Odd and very unfortunate, hope he/she will be ok.

A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries after a collision with a train in Feilding, near Palmerston North, this morning.

The accident happened just after 6am and the motorcyclist was taken to Palmerston North hospital, said central police communications team leader Amanda Jensen.

The injuries were serious but not life threatening, she said.

Hmmmm, that was an unfortunate accident, I hope they're alright. It'll be interesting to hear more details and find out who it was.

Yep. It's got to that stage where it's fine in the middle and slick on the sides. Great in a straight line but a bugger round the corners

I just replaced the slippery front tyre on the Kat and haven't even been able to test it. Got the kevlar jeans too, thanks 86.

yep heard about it through mate at work...he took photos of bike...was demolished....train driver saw him going very fast into feilding and tried to dodge through the barrier arms while they were already down! Didnt though! Aparantley the worst he got was a broken leg.

Pretty lucky then - went to school with a guy who tried to race a train on his GL145. Did not get away with it. Not to be encouraged...

Might be able to help you out there mate, got a Pilot Power 2ct (used but not that used) that sounds like it'd be better that what you've got anyway, just going to waste sitting in the shed here and it'd keep a few bucks in ya pocket for a little longer. You're welcome to it if you want dude.
