I didn't get along as bike needs a new tyre and have to wait for it to arrive and fit it in between painting the damn house. Jeez I'm sick of sanding. If any sado masichists out there would like to finish the place off for me, feel free to pop around.

I keep any house sanding I do to a minimium. I water blast, then scrape, then just do a minimium of sanding just to feather the edges.

The one thing that recently really helped my gravel fear was doing a bit of trail bike riding. It taught me how to step the bike out and still retain control while in a skid, its actually easy to do but to me its counter intuitive as a road rider.

yeah you are right it's mind over matter for me and times I can shake it but on other occassions the arse slides out and my bits tighten up... (mind you bit tightening does me no harm at all )

I just have to relax, I don't have the same issues hitting grit going up hill and I do try not to think too much.....

however my chicken strips is getting narrower..

its normal to find it harder down hill, theres a lot more forces at work both on the bike and in the head.... LMFAO about the tightening does you no harm

Just keep stoking in the coal and she gets along alright, hoping to get along next week before heading up Marlborough way for a couple of weeks.
