Well best I apologise for casting aspersions and congrats to the winners.
Sorry to hear about the arm Pumba, heal quick dude.
Those repair patches were confusing me a little. First year I did TRRS there were no patches & the track was much better to be honest. Last year they were bloody slippery & I crashed on turn 1 through loss of traction. This year they didn't seem anywhere near as bad but I still couldn't convince myself to use them totally. It just wasn't worth the risk to me. No 1 priority was to come out with all bits still working.
Who was pushing the front on the patches? Any dramas?
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
The patches and white lines last year were bloody slippy as you say not bad this year Tim Me and Dean had a walk the night before the GP around the track and the patches were more grippy than the track its self (doing the jandle shuffle test) and it gave me confidence to use then harder and I had no problems crossing them after that .
I just found some of them bumpy... good grip though.
The timing for the long circuit seemed accurate enough, i think its more that fact the timing was too inaccurate (read fast) last year.
Congrats to Andrew!
gidday all can someone point me in the right direction to find the rules regarding buckets?
cheers
http://www.mnz.co.nz/competitionrules.aspx chapter 24 is buckets, but you should also know chapters 1-10 which are the general can and can'ts of motorcycle racing.
cheers skunk..........will take that onboard
made it a fav.........will read later.done a few track days etc but think buckets would be a good place to start racing and learn a few of the skills required cheers
Yeah, I also go "Bumpy but plenty of grip". It caused a few problems with the FXRs current lack of ground clearance but nothing major.
WAAAAY better than the old patching.

Hi all dose anyone have any video footage of the F4 [buckets]
Thanks
just got back from holiday & read through the thread. thanks for all the good comments on the event. just a couple of points, the F5GP was only 5 laps due to only 11 entries & with 250 other bikes we would have been lynched if it had been longer. the F4GP was 10laps, longer than any other race that day. we are restricted on the hours of use at the track otherwise we would run all night. we reckon its great to have buckets at such a big event racing with the other classes, & only do it for you the riders, if you have any ideas on things contact me or andy. we do have some plans up our sleeve for this year we are working on. also would buckets pay an extra $50 or so to run transponders, or leave it as is?? thanks again Chris. PS hope the injured riders are getting better.
Personally I'd rather save my money, not have transponders and keep it as is (I don't need to pay $50 to have some piece if equipment tell me I'm slow!)
