Nah don't do either of those things. In fact, if you are about to be overtaken by an experienced rider don't do ANYTHING. Just hold still and let him go - he won't hit you.

He was not that experienced as undertaking on a a two way road is illegal surely. As a rule I am very easy going with other riders, giving way always and as they see my L plate most wave or give me the thumbs up, but this idiot undertook two full licenced riders, before me... definitely a noob!
All is revealed, you had an L plate on. No wonder they gave you no respect.

I had the road in the middle (no where near double yellow lines), I was doing 95km, and he was speeding, and it was a two way, there is no way in hell he should have undertaken me... he is a accident waiting to happen unfornately, there is nothing safe in what he did. AND even if I was close the double yellow, overtaking is illegal on double full yellow lines, they are there for a reason.
On the motorway in England trucks can't drive in the overtaking lane, some people here have the mentality that the right lane is the fast lane, and trucks should not speed, as there stopping power is slower, I only know when I drove a 7ft van, once a car pulled out in front of me presuming I was going slower, and I damn well near hit him. But if your on the motorway and there doing 90km in the overtaking lane, and not overtaking, I would go to the left carefully... touch wood I have never had a accident.
lol ok... that too!!!!
Sounds like the git was insecure and had to prop himself up by showing off to 3 other riders. This means his focus is on his ego first, not his surroundings. I wouldn't trust him in a group ride.

Yeah its illegal alright, and with good reason. The road to your left is yours for use in an emergency. Other riders should take care to not occupy it without your consent, knowledge, or direct invitation.
Don't worry too much. It is unlikely you will get drawn into their situation if you are smooth and controlled, and don't make sudden moves.

"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."

WTB: Hyosung bikes or going or not.
Well, if its illegal, then the policy missed about 9 trillion ticket opportunities on the Bikoi, hell, the Savage on my left all the way fown the Foxton Straights is liable for at least 300 tickets alone.
Give the guy a break - a blimp on a Scorp takes 10 minutes to get over 100 kph - he wasn't going to waste all that effort!
There's more to this story than meets the eye must have been down hill or a good tailwind or maybe he hung on to the back of one of your mates bikes and sling shot himself through
Nah seriously Scorps are great - undetake overtake blimps, newbs, short arse oh and mines for sale soon
They called it paradise, I don't know why.
Call someplace paradise, kiss it goodbye.
