I have british american and jap bikes ! Not only do i nod at most bikes coming my way, but i also smile alot to myself !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

i ride a jap, ive ridden harleys, ive grown up around harleys and i am soon getting one, i wave or nod at anyone i see on a bike or scooter, i think that the biggest problem here is that people dont like things that are different. i like both sports bikes and harleys so i guess im a tad odd but hey. people just need to lighten up is all and stop taking themselves so seriously
sticks and stones may break my bones but whips and chains excite me

I think I have figured out the secret. Based on what I have seen in this thread, there is a pattern emerging:

People who own/ride harleys but also own/ride other bikes (jappas, brittish, etc...) are nice people, even when riding harleys. People who own only harleys are how the title of the thread says

No secret in the fact that when the student is ready the master will appear !

But just secretly, when doing 120 on the harley i wont lift a hand off the bar and at 140 my head IS tilted !
At 140 on the speed three i'm still tappin out the sounds i'm listening to, on the tank !~
It aint hard to gesture to someone comin the other way, "yo, come have a game of tick tack toe mofo"

    The new wave !!!

Ferk if anyone has trouble with waving. Try this for a recent experience. Was givin the shop loan scooter when I dropped bike off for servicing.

Leather jacket and full face helmet riding home down S'thern Motoway during peak hour traffic on a friggen scooter.

    No one waved at me,

[SIZE="1"]I will never live down the look from a van full of Islanders . They looked like they felt sorry for me

If a shop I regularly used (for anything) offered me a loan scooter I'd pick it up and throw it at them.

    And never go back. Period.

Settle down you reckon M? I thought it was moderately funny - smiley face and all.

You know - reason Harley guys don't wave is because people say cruel things about them on the internet?

Oh well - next time :-)

If you treat a sccoter as a large motorised skateboard and design tricks for it - they are a lot of fun dontchaknow.

The 10" wheel gutter re-entry is a fave.
