I was thinking, I have 3 other cameras that can be mounted to bikes in various ways.

I can mount one as a helmet cam (see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcJqEFjywMo )
and one can be clamped onto just about anywhere (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GL05RQheUjo )
Or all but the one with the wide lens on it can be clamped.

If anyone is keen to give one a go for some extra footage, or just to record your own thing on these rides, let me know and I'll try to find enough batteries.

oops, just remembered. The wife is on holiday and has all the SD cards so will have to wait three weeks before we can use them if you're keen, unless someone has some spare 2gb SD cards lying around

    Anyhoo, see you Wednesday.
Hi I am interested. Might even be able to come up with some sd cards. Your vids look great.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

Hitting black powder with a hammer sounds like fun. I imagine it's one of those things that you only do once ...

Yep, SD = Secure Digital. A 1gb card will get you about 30 mins recording time I think ...

Cheers man, that's what it's all about! Good news with the SD cards, 2gb is the best option if there's a choice as the cameras don't take anything bigger. Should get us about 1 hr recording time, depending on batteries, maybe a bit less ...

Well, I did have to edit out all the wheelies you were doing

I've noticed a trend. So far, Kiwiphoenix seems to be on the back of every bike I follow!

    Just a heads up.

You have seen all the rubbish in the Christchurch news paper about push bikers on Dyers Pass Rd. I commute that way and over the last couple of days I have seen some pretty scary shit going down on this road. A group of psycholists seem to have formed a possie and be out patroling, protesting or crusading and going hunting for anybody that gets in their way. I just don't want any of us involved in a tangle with one of the nutters.

I did notice that!! You must just love looking at the back of my helmet!! Well don't worry this Wed I'll be back on my own bike, brake pads are going in on Monday (when I buy them). I had two visitors to the bike today, Flip and FJRider. Thanks for all your help and advice guys!! Spent part of the afternoon with FJRider cleaning the piston and the caliper so it's all ready for the brake pads.

Thanks for that Flip. Sounds like we will have to avoid Dyers Pass Road until the nutters find something else to nut off about. You keep your head down and travel safely.

See you Wednesday Greta Valley bound???? Is Mrs Flip joining us this week??
