In this case "uni commitments" = party at the student bar. Well worded Eliot.

[QUOTE=maxf;1129663968]Don't be surprised if the bolt head snaps off - some of the security bolts are like that, with an upper/visible head for tightening and a lower head with a ratcheted, no-undo face - both connected by a thin "neck". You can tighten them, but loosening engages the ratchet and the joiner neck snaps, leaving no head and the bolt still done up... THEN you have to get a drill press - it's hardened steel, you don't want to skid off-center and munt up the alu fork tree - and drill off the lower head and go normally from there!

normally they are a security type sheer bolt, when they are new they have to heads, a hex over a smooth round disk you tighten the bolt until the hex part sheers off just leaving the round disk and there is no tool that will undo it, if it is this type you will have to drill the head off the sheer bolt and when the barrel is out the way then you can remove the studs with a stud removal tool.
    hope this helps
I`M TRYING TO SEE THINGS YOUR WAY BUT I CAN`T GET MY HEAD UP MY ARSE

Hey, I'm keen to join you guys this Wednesday, I met Elliot last week and he told me about the rides. I've been riding for a few years now on a small two stroke Yamaha 110 and just upgraded to a CBR250RRL (the non-speed limited year) back in November. I spent a month or so over the summer road tripping (on the bike, 6000kms) with some mates in Northland and Coromandel, so I've taught myself some of the basics on aiming for the vanishing point and leaning off the seat (still scraped the peg a couple times), but I'd like to get better. I have no idea what to do when I see gravel on the road or when it gets wet, so I just slow down. I'd appreciate some advice on this.

I'm also in the process of trying to find a fuel leak that started right after a long trip from Auckland to Christchurch. I think it's caused by leaky seals on the carbs so I'm in the process of replacing those since they're old and flat anyway, but might also be something else as well. Any ideas?

We have 5 more Wednesdays before daylight saving ends. Then

We have had several long ride the last few weeks, this week I suggest something shorter. How about Dyers, Evans, Port and around the bays to Godley House. It's been a while since we have been there. Unless someone has another venue and route????

The 4 weeks after next........................where to????????

Come on guys lets have some ideas please.
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

Yes hopefully! We have yet to breach the subject with WOFman so will let you know if its a goer this year or not! He has been kind enough to let us play in his shop the last couple of years so he just might be sick of us!

If you ever need help or a workshop just give me a holla. I have quite a lot of tools, bike hoist, lathe, welding gear and I am just across the harbour from you.

I,m just making myself a bike trailer. I have a 4wd ute but the tray is very high, OK for a 100kg trail bike (or RG150) but its impossible to load a big road bike onto.

Hi all, Duvauchelles ride is up:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHmbYiIQbIQ

Only took me many days and litres of sweat, not to mention wearing out my vocal cords from all the swearing!
