But you have no basis for that suggestion, other than what you believe. This is called a projection.

Perhaps you are right? Perhaps you are not right? Who can tell? You are no mind-reader, just like the rest of us.

Don't take it as harsh words. Look at what was said, add grain of salt, and go back to the fun thing you were mucking around with.

I was saddened one day to overhear two young mums at a kid's playground, who were very loudly discussing the motives of an older guy there, who had quite simply brought his grand-daughter to play.

Last time I googled a hot lesbian, I got a slap.

    Totally worth it though.

    Quite true.

Yes there are the sexos out there, but people do make bad judgement calls, like the mums in Viragos' post. It certainly pays to get the facts right. Making assumptions makes an ass out of you and, well.... umptions.

I got angrily cornered at the swimming pool for battling with my kids on the inflatable. All the kids told her to piss off, lol.

First, we got an old man close by who EVERY morning AND afternoon, sits at the end of his driveway on a chair and watches the school girls? or maybe boys? or both walking to school.
This is clearly sexually deviant behaviour but noone says anything. He sits there happy as.
Is there any other explaination for why he does this? This happens all over the place, you probably have one in your street.
Another good one, is the old men who walk their dogs laaatttteeeeee at night. If you stop to monitor them, you will notice their dogs are constantly stopping outside peoples houses, having a root around on other peoples lawns, for a shit or a piss. While the dog is fukking around, the man will be staring into the house, a blatent voyeuristic activity if you ask me.
    Close your curtains.
Yeah yeah, the old fart works so much he can only walk his poor mutt late at night.
    Whatever.
Have any of you noticed any of lifes little acceptable oddities?
Do women do anything sexually deviant? and how do I get involved with it???!!!!
As one who is fast approaching the age (or am beyond it already) of which you refer, my first impression is that maybe you are the one with the problems!

I myself enjoy watching children and young people in their activities and life activities, not because it scratches a hidden sexual itch but because that part of life is sliding quietly away from me!

If it were not for my own grandchildren and their friends, I would have no contact with the younger generations whatsoever!

Can you begin to imagine what a loss like that impacts upon you as you grow older and weeker?

I used to love the sound of the children playing in the school across the road from where I live but the fucking Labour government closed it up and sent the children away to the next town by bus!

Everybody in our small town felt the loss of the sound of the kids like the world had come to an end!

One of the reasons I enjoy being on KB is the contact across the age and gender barriers that allows me enjoy the world in it's entirety rather than being confined to the boredom of my own age group!

I think you should try to take a walk in those old peoples shoes before you condemn them as dirty old men and sexual perverts and when you find time have a good long look in the mirror, you might find some of the demons that you fear in there!

In our neighbourhood, there is this older dude that looks more like Gandoff (or whatever the hell that LOTR character is called) than Gandoff does. Bare feet 365 days of the year, dirty smelly looking critter. Unemployed, known to smoke a bit of weed. This is not a critcism but an observation, because everyday, he gets out of bed and walks about 10 kids to school as one of those walking bus things. And every day, when school gets out hes repeats the journey in reverse. Thats just what he does.

My old Dad (may he RIP) used to enjoy talking to kids, or just watching them, too.
He was a fit, proud young man once, who had NO hesitation volunteering and serving in Korea.
I reckon we should all remember that the "lecherous old buggers" that some of our seniors are perceived as may deserve a bit more respect than they get
