Slicks were strange up there on my thou, but it was so poorly set up for it I doubt it was the tyres. My K2 did alright without tread, and the 999 with tread was shithouse.

Well I sent my entry off last week, effectively lowering the bar for everyone else. So come on anyone who wants a go - do not hesitate to get your entry in, it is a lot of fun and you don't have to take it too seriously if you don't want to. Just enjoy being able to ride that road and exploring your bike's limits without worrying about anything coming the other way.

Only about 10 entries in so far. People waiting to enter on the day will only have themselves to blame if the requisite number is reached and they are turned away.

Went for a scoot up the hill today and apart from some minor loose chip it looks the best i have seen in a long time, espeically the bottom third, no more missing spots of seal.
Looks like the record could go.

Should have my bike up and running this weekend, might have to do a reconnaissance mission next Thursday arvo and meet trtnr in Featherston on the return trip.
