Sweated out any booze just waiting 1/2 hour trying to get out the gate, if they had set up properly down the road a bit , with decent staffing levels, would have never been such a bottle neck ....... and as for not testing guys who walked out to get checked .......whats up with that?

run out of badges at 3pm and had 2800 produced so the total must have ended up reasonable

prob due to the vibrations and harmonics and if a hand is removed they will cause an unbalance to there equlibrium which will cause them to not retain there vertical stance causing scratching to the shiney parts and there leather cladding

    Another great weekend.

Good ride down saturday morning other than the normal trying to keep up on the wee 600 with 2 people and a shitload of gear, would have been better without the overindulgence on friday night but started coming right after lunch at Fairlie and the ride from there to Waimate was excellent.

As usual the company was good, the music was good, and a couple of drinkies to help it along. Well done to the hardy few that saw it out to the end, told you we should have put out the burning couch on the way back.

Fairly leisurely start this morning, nobody seemed to be in too much of a hurry to go and talk to the nice policemen outside the gate. Loaded up and headed out after the crowd had cleared, talked to the machine and oddly it detected alcohol, but all good with a proper test and home up SH1 watching the usual stupidity on the passing lanes.

Home safely and bike unloaded, is tired now so time for bed.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

Im suprised they got so many. Its not hard to wait around until your sober enough to drive (and then wait some more to make sure).

As for the stupidity, you didnt come across a grey Audi? Over took me while I was overtaking another car. I nearly shat my pants.

Realistically if they were being proactive with us they'd have had someone in the rally site where we could have gone and checked before getting on to the road There were two being asked into the bus when we went through.
A bloke walked up ahead of me and blew the meter then headed back in for a few hours detox

Almost collected one at the end of a oneway bridge just before Cave on the way home....... maybe it had escaped under the veil of darkness & was so traumatised it had kept running through the night
Had a look for ya when we headed out and thought you'd done the early bolt home

Thanks guys and Gals.. Had a fantastic time!!!

Really enjoyed breaking in the new tyres!!! Makes for a much better smoother ride I must say!

Great company... Great dancing (by the hardy few that survived until 'lights' out) until we saw the couch on fire (I had that song from midnight oil in my head.. the beds are burning).... and then all of 30mins later the fire siren going off...

It would appear I did well to avoid all cameras! It was like I was never there... Muahahahaha!!

I will post my pics once I get home tonight ... (I forget the the camera the minute a rum is in hand! Priorities I say! )..

Look forward to the next rally!!!

rumour I heard was that factory tool bags come with a selection of hose clamps , so owners can attend rallies without havin to stop at HD dealer enroute........
