I learned to ride on my Mum's BSA Bantam. When I bought my T500 she used to borrow it to go and visit her Mum, (Grandma, to state the obvious...), in Tauranga! We lived in Warkworth then and she loved the ride and the power... She's 78 now, and would probably still ride a Bantam if she could find one. I know where her old one is but the lady won't part with it.
You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.
Shorai Powersports batteries are very trick!
Hey Kenny ma darlin - the man of my dreams aye. All good with me (just nursing a broken heart, damm, am i allowed to say that here. Yeah of course i am,this is the girlie page, where we can bleed, laugh, rant, rage - do whatever we want).
Time we caught up and had a ride together. You can even bring your wife
Hey wait a minute - I chatted to Ratti on the last Tuesday ride - It wasn't me was it?
I was just glad to have someone to natter to.
But, if I was one of the offending males (can't remember if I mentioned the missus or not) then I have a damn good excuse: She hides bugs in my clothes and tells me off if I don't talk about her in every conversation I have.
Hehe, she can only hear the keyboard clacking right now - damn her bugs!

Oy would agree with the first bit not having met you. Maybe just guys trying to put woman + motorbike together & using a little positive affirmation with their familys as a starting point. I'm not really a social rider but always tickled when i do meet a woman on a bike, quickly followed by the confusion of social etiquette between women & men. I don't really feel comfortable saying " F**K!! that last bit of road was mint!" I would feel like a total knob acting like that in front of a woman I hardly knew whether I fancied her or not, married or not.
It's probably an understanding thing, not a communication thing, I think, maybe or perhaps. Then again.
I did meet a Canadian lady recently who has a 1098 at home, phwooar! Instant feelings of inadequacy.
thanks for clearing that up Ratti.........i guess it take all sorts and i will agree there are plenty of weird guys out there...My suggestion to you is this..........relax.......if you feel they are being rude tell them to fuck off.......or laugh....there are no doubt plenty of men who feel threatened by woman on bikes....my first ride with BFTP was with a guy and a woman i had never met....she was new to riding and on a new bike.....we had a great day...nice ride, coffee..etc......never seen her again.....and...i never mentioned the wife or date words...........
This has got to be the most boring thread I've ever had the stupidity to read through.
Women!
Some things are worth dying for, living is one of them.
