As a taxpayer I employ you and your colleagues to enforce the laws of the land. I expect you to behave like a pro. Nothing more nothing less.

To turn this into a bit of a rant: One of the things I'd like to see in NZ is the typical mainland European approach to the standing of a police officer in the eyes of the law. In short it works like this: An attack on a police officer is penalised more severely than a similar assault on a common citizen. On the flipside there is a paragraph called "Abuse of official power" with which the cops can be hit in an instance like this. In most mainland euro countries, something like the case we're debating would earn the cops about 3-5 years.

With the way that crimminals cry and complain at how hard they've been treated and ca'nt take their own medicine, we'd have no cops left on the beat they'd all be in jail. All you'd have left is some metro fags and female pacifists too scared to deal with people who need that tough justice, as they are NOT going to come peacefully.

This is N.Z, the police and victims do'nt have rights as it is, the crimminals get all the help.. Crimminals are the only victims in N.Z according to the law.

With respect. You just don't get it, do you. A crime is a crime, whether the person who commits it is wearing a hoodie or a uniform. In other words those "victims of arrest", as you put, may also be victims of a crime. At least if it was an "arrest" instead of an arrest.
