    I feel priviledged !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

demerits not all from riding - was a maniac in my car too before i suspended its rego, sigh. Thank GOD I got off that last ticket or I'd have no licence right now. I could get limited licence no probs, but really don't need to pay another $150 right now.

and whoever said it's from the latest ticket, it's from the oldest ticket. please tell me it's 2-years from the oldest ticket.........!!!

which will have me riding like an angel until july 2011. or at least slowing right down for every single m'way onramp or anywhere else the cops might be lurking

You sound like a fun person. Hopefully you'll get through this stage without hurting yourself in the process. It's hard to insult someone who's so open and agreeable....

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Demerits expire 2 years from the anniversary of their application, which is the date of offence.

It is the date of issue of the first ticket when everything starts.

If you get a total of 100 points from that date over the next 2 years you will get a 3 month ban after which your points are reset to zero.

The points for each ticket come off 2 years from the issue date of that ticket.

yup that's what i thought. but the date is the date of payment of infringement apparently rather than date of offence. tucked.

Date of offence, not the date the infringement issued. Usually, it's the same date anyway, but sometimes that's not the case. You can be issued an infringement offence notice up to 6 months from the date of offence.

No. Once guilt is admitted (payment of the infringement fee) or proven (court) the demerit points are added FROM THE DATE OF OFFENCE.

    See Land Transport Act 1998, 88 (4).

Now there's an insult to be proud of, constructive, meaningful, succinct yet still with a lesson in it, and that much needed bit of tang to make you wanna buck up. You'd do well to listen to this one proseuche.

Hahaha, how can it be a privelege if I can ride on them with no license?
