You have been riding a 250 for 3 years? A least you have the patience of a saint. If 250 is all you want, then knock yourself out modding the thing. Just don't expect to make it much faster than it already is. Also be aware that a mint factory standard bike will usually bring at least as much, sometimes more, than a bike that has been modded when the time comes to sell it.
well my story is slightly more than riding 250's for 3 years...

I had a major accident on my 21st bday nothing stupid on my part other than not wearing a helmet... broke both my legs, lots of injuries to the face , friend sit behind me had similar injuries as well... we were hit by a taxi in a junction head on .... took me 4 months on a wheel chair, lost 1 semester off Uni and learning how to walk again.... took me almost 2 years to even sit as a pillion ... i guess it took me a while after seeing 2 headlights head ur way at 10:30 in the night....

but the biggest blow was loosing my best friend who actually taught me how to ride well in an accident .... that took me off bikes and had that fear in me for a while.... lost my Kawa 750 in my accident....

coming to new zealand had to start building life... career and stuff like that... at the age of 26 you cant afford to change bikes , full time work and go to Uni and also maintain a GF at the same time...

this time I want to do it right... i want to mature more... I love riding and I think I ride quite well.. ofcourse I see sometimes how the lack of power when I ride... but its more of a mental maturity that I am trying to achieve out of this bike.... and chicks dig the bike LOL

this is my first bike that i bought with my own money so would be slightly painful to see her go... so going to keep her... and God Willing keep her in one sexy piece...

I need more braking and speed that comes stock and that my next ambition... I will return to the tracks one day I know .... but right now... i love pissing some cagers and boy racers around the Wellington Streets

My dad has an Harley Sporty 883c in AKL so I do enjoy that baby once in a while... was in AKL last week for 3 days so .... I am not one bike kinda guy... I do it for the love to ride and live to ride.... its my first love ..... whether its a 50cc scooter or 1000cc kawa .... u ride something on 2 wheels and with a motor attached to it... MOST ppl in the world cant bicycle properly...

So to the rest of you guys go on at each other... cut it out folks.... i mean whats the whole point at the end of the day u type some crap ..... enjoy the ride... whatever the f*** u ride... or however u ride it... be safe and stay safe...

    neop26 out!!!

    Bro,

Well said (or typed) I have ridden a few bikes in the last 30 odd years and now find myself on a 250... I forgot to get a licence all those years ago.
The Hyo is a nice bike to ride and the main thing is I enjoy it. Maby one weekend I will pop into town, might see ya out there...

Haha brilliant! If you have cordura's then you can easily wear a suit, maybe not the blazer, but the other stuff will fit fine!

Made with quite dry pants and socks Interview was nt too bad either...

But then I decided to pay a quick visit to TSS since they had sent a letter saying that there might be a recall on some batch of bikes for their calipers ....

Reached and they checked that it wasnt mine.. so I told him if they could have a quick looksie at the front brake.... he fiddled with the nob and said na its all cool... so I got onto the bike to ride back to work and the bike wouldnt move at all...

I was like what the hell now... checked all the basics and we found that that during that 1.5 minutes of fiddling my right side front disc caliper seized and wouldnt bulge...

He said leave it and it will be around 400 odd bucks... I was like farrrrrrrk...

So after 85 bucks and piggy riding on the truck got the bike home... and will have to get one of ma mates to have a look at it....

So ya I am having the day hand delievered from hell today!!!

If he's fiddled with it then it wouldn't move I'd have them look at it... I had a service done on my old hyosung and afterwards the throttle jammed on so I had them look at it, they tried to charge me for it until they figured out they'd caused it.... But that's a real shame that they calipers seized. My Hyosung had the same problem, it was like $80 to fix cos they replaced the caliper pistons.

(P.S if they tell you you can't buy pistons individually and have to buy the whole caliper set up, go tell them to suck eggs, cos I almost got duped by that too.)

    Fuck That!

And thats the reason I DONT go to 'Bike Shops'. I went Online and found a manual and do, and have done for years, work on my own Vehicles. Brake Calipers are simple enough to Remove and clean up, eazy enough to Bleed up again afterwards.

If you have a mate who can look at it 'with you' and let you learn about the mechanical things along the way, Do it Bro... Save heaps of $$$ and gain Knowledge

good on you for modding your bike the way you like. It's good to see you arn't listening to these other fucktards on here of which the one giving you shit dosn't evan have anything beter. Good luck getting your brake sorted but personally think that they should be fixing it and only charging you for the parts.

Hey not to kill your buzz or anything but you said you're planning on getting new wheels...

How much were you planning on spending on them? Because if you're getting good ones then for the same money you could just buy another bike.

And man, where is chaos rider.

I heard he came off on the track and bent some stuff that wouldn't bend back again.

If you're talking to me, I have an NC30.
In no universe is a 250 Hyo better then a NC30.

    Also read my posts.
