But here on da peninsula we only have one vet so chances are if shes scrapped off the road they will know. Surely its better to know when to stop buying cat food?

I got mine from the SPCA, and they come pre-chipped. Just make sure if you shift you go online and update your address.

Some vets offer a free tattooing service at neutering. This has the advantage that anyone can see the tattoo in the ear- no special equipment required. The number is kept on record with a description of the cat. Some of the "old ways" are as handy as trendy new technologies.

Again, if anybody thinks to look. And it only works on cats with light coloured ears.

will chipping a cat stop it from pissing on my bike/gear, shitting in my garden, tearing up my rubbish bags, killing my kids pet rabbit, raiding the goldfish pond?

fucking cats piss me off esp. uncut toms
dog owners are held responsible for the damage their roaming animals do, how about cat owners?

Had all of my three female cats spade when they were 5 months thats when they go on heat and all have been micro chipped that cost me $100 each cat which is worth it thought it was best to be done because I had moved to a new place recently. Each cat has there annual vaccination never missed that.

Easy to read tattoo on inside of ear regardless of colour, actually. People bring lost/run over cats to the SPCA or a vet and they will always check.
