Deemed to be too expensive so they dropped it.
Think it was the wheel thing that pushed them over the edge

I have just got new chain & sprockets and went for the 520 pitch as they are 'cheaper' and more readily available! So now I have a Supersport bike.....
Good job I didn't put the yellow numbers on.

well as I understand it 525 is the same pitch, just wider.....so technically he can use the 520 package. He can't go to a different pitch like 420, 428 or 620 etc that's all. I'm pretty sure 520, 525 and 530 are all the same 'pitch'

    Dumb Chain RULE

525 On GSXR 525 On R6 I Think the 1000's are 530 so cant use the same stuff if you upgrade for the 2nd year to SSport/ SBike and the importers have a much smaller ragne available,

Superbike rules are out! Seems we can NOT use aftermarket wheels, no aftermarket triple clamps, no Traction Control unless its standard id say.

We can use diff pistons which is interesting

Yes indeed you are correct Marcus. The chain pitch is the distance between the centres of chain rollers while the 520, 525 and 530 numbers refer to the chain width. The chain pitch is the same for 520 -530 chains. But one wonders what was the intent of this rule ?

So can "R" model bikes be run now if they've sold 5 (sbk) or 10 (S/stock) in NZ?

    1098 s
    RSV4 Factory
    Desmosedeci if you're loaded

Or do you have to apply for Homologation?

    SBK
