You guys should watch Hotel Rwanda. It's more relevant.

Or, failing that, just watch CNN.

But personally, I only watch movie to escape reality. I don't need reality in my movies. That's why I like Inception.

Who has seen the movie "The Cove"?

This movie is a documentry on the slaughter of millions of dolphins in Japan.

All motorcyclists should band together to try and help stop this.

We all band together for Charity rides why doen't someone organise a NZ wide Protest ride against the Slaughter of the Dolphins in Taiji "The Cove" Japan.

The Japanese fisherman have been told that the reason they have dimishing fish supplies is that the dolphin has been eating all of them. This is not the case. The Fisherman have been told Dolphins are a Pest of nature. So they slaughter as many as they can. The Police in Taiji are backing the fisherman (Usual corruption).

I think we should organise a ride to raise money to support "Saving the Dolphins in Taiji Japan. And let Parliment and the Japanese know we mean to help the world turning green.

Anyone else who wants to support the cause please like The Cove on Facebook.
Donate money for this cause. Dolphins are part of Nature.
    Theres too many getting Slaughtered

Bits of plastic washed down storm water drains kill more sea mammals every day than those guys kill in that documentary.

Stop littering and I might consider it.

Glad to inform you dude that I am recycling and not littering. also dont buy plastic bags to pack groceries in anymore. I agree. Littering is a major problem also. But this is man slaughtering dolphins and also selling it as whale meat to people. Dolphin meat is full of mercury. Not a good thing for people to eat.
Yes Plastic is a problem as well. If you know of a way to stop the pollution with plastic let me know and I will support you.

Concentrate on a winnable fight. You can actively prevent littering simply by picking something up and dropping it in a bin. That's a win. Trying to remotely modify a culture is the sort of ridiculous activism that achieves nothing except acrimony and stress.

Plastic waste in the sea is a much bigger problem than The Cove. Much bigger. Mediterranean cultures eat Dolphins as well, as do a few African and Sea East Asian ones.

You can pointlessly rant about something you can't change or you can potentially prevent the death of a sea mammal by putting a coke bottle someone else dropped into a bin. Make the revolution a bunch of easy things to do.

I did watch the movie and it was a manipulative piece of explotative film making, using young idealistic "westerners" to point at the "evil" Asians and declare their practices abhorrent. Not a long term strategy.

Everyone has their own opinion. And what causes they follow. This is one I support.

    *millions*???

Try around 1500/year in the cove.

Don't get me wrong - I am just as offended and upset about it as the next person, but a reality check is needed, and wild numbers being thrown about does nothing for the cause. The Japanese are influenced by 3 things - 1. Sensible political discussion, 2. Money, 3. The threat of another hydrogen/atomic bomb.

We can't afford #2, and don't have a really big bomb lying about, so political discussion and pressure is the only answer.

If you think that some greenies waving flags is going to help, search 'Ady Gill' and 'Sea Shepherd', and see how much $$ thay have had to throw at their cause to get noticed - a few bikers at the bottom of the world is hardly going to do anything.

I agree "Private Space" is a great name. But I can't believe all of the time the japanese waste by trying to hide it. The people following in cars and the way they are stopping people taking photographs. They know they are in the wrong so why not stop it. The Mercury poisoning to their own race is harsh. The Labeling of dolphin as whale meat. People Die from Mercury poisoning.

    Its a great movie.
