Firstly Guy Fawkes was (is) a relative of mine.

I have a hunting dog, a dog that comes hunting with me and he goes ballistic on the 5th nov, he runs around and tries to find out who is shooting and what is out for him to chase and return with. I shoot with a black powder gun so even the smell in the air smells like a hunting trip to him.

Black powder is relatively easy to make, but even easier to blow yourself up trying to make it, its unstable at the best of time. Commercially BP is milled wet and set as a cake that is then broken up into different granular size depending on the application. The granules are then coated with graphite to make them a lot more chemically stable.

I think our cat will be fine, if earthquakes can't shift her off the back of the couch I can't see a few fireworks having any effect.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

Same here, All he does is get in the heal position and waits to be set off then looks at you all strange wondering why he is still not racking something. Not all that good when your sitting on the settee.
He really hates the whistle type, they make him bark like theres someone breaking in, even if its on the telly.

I can't see this being your thing, but Ohaupo has a very impressive display every year. It's a family thing though. Stalls, rides, bands, shit like that but some very cool explosions at the end that last a good chunk of time (I hate the displays that are over is 2 minutes).

We've gone a couple of times now with mates - none of us had kids. Just went for the display but have shit carnival food for tea. Love that shit carnival food It's good for a change.

Man am I glad I was born when I was. Back then we used to have fun. And the neighbours didn't care, because they were probably doing the same thing as us or with us doing it.

Good call, keep your pets (and the pets of the people you know) safe.
Never in the field of human conflict has so much been owed to so few by so many cheese eating surrender monkeys.

Sooner they get banned the better. Same shit every year. They either don't find the people or they get let off with a slap on the wrist.
