FMS of a bike, but the rubber on this one were shoot, so over all handling was average, but the power and the easy use of it too, WOW. You really feel as if you are controling the bike not the over way round, (see next one).
The only other problem which is totally fixable in two mins was the throttle cable was lose so the on off the gas was hit and miss.
So the ride, straight back roads to ash vagas to see the power and stopping, Man oh man, perfect. THis bike was awesome, not over powered nor under powered. But very much a rocket if you wanted it too. Yeah baby. After some fun it was off to find some twistes so the saddle springs to mind here, (twice just cause I can). Holding the bike in third was the go first time over, which was a good run to learn bike and check conditions for return trip, he he. The old tyres really showed up here, which was a bugger, so was not the best run but really got an understanding of the bike. SO next run dropped down a gear or two for slower corners, Holy Shit the 750 takes off the a mad cat. FMS. On the return trip to freedom via town I had play with Mappping on bike, totally see were these can come in handy, really like to power delivery in C mode, so smooth.
I think with new rubber that bike would be a wicked bike for roads like that. (and tracks, he he)

After arriving back at Freedom and the break down ofth eride with Dion, he turns round and says right you like to take the GSXR 1000 now?
Oh hell yes was the reply, so back on with the lid after bike was warmed up, it was the same roads again.
Now this bike was so different as it had new rubber been a 2010, the 750 was 09, it also had Big piston's up front, the handling was just unreal, turn on a coin type stuff. Also the throttle cable had been tighten too so the response was way crisper than the 750.
So it was down the long starights towards Ash Vagas, open her up, shit quick change up reving like mad, hold on it only says 10k another 6 more on rev limit, no way thats mad. So I give it another go, lower gear to try to keep speed down (yeah right), I can say above 10k that bike takes off even faster than standing still or rolling start. Crap new paints!
ANyway off to saddle road, I was faster over the saddle than the 750 this time, (tyres I think made a difference here) but was not feeling in as much control as the 750. The thou was so quick out of the corners I found myself short shifting most of the time.
On the second run I keep her in 2 gear and found myself arriving to fast to most corners, but I guess if you had one you would get use to that.
So after a few runs over saddle it was back to Freedom to return the bike .

Cruzing down the main road I had a play with the mapping thing, heaps of diff from A mode to C mode, (should have put it in this from the start, Yeah right) I found the thou very easy to ride at 100 k in 6th, it even stayed their, unlike the CBR1000 which keep crepping up. You could easly pass cars with out th eneed the change gears, but if you need too you can, if not just to feel the power.

Back at Freedom, long chats with guys their and just about brought me a 750 , but saddly I had to say no, but will be saving my coins now to get me one.

On a side note, they are having a massive sale on tomorrow and sat. So get down and have a look, as I understand it up to and over 50% on some items, like lids, boots and gloves.

    PS I saw ya YOD!

    FMS of a day
Just sounds like any old day i reckon.
Tis a Yamahahahaha G. Just thrash it like you stole it. Gixxer 4 ever
It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever

Sounds like an absolute MINT test ride. I'm tempted to take the 750 for a fang myself just to see how they've evolved. Whats this about Cowboyz not owning a Zuki? Other way round isn't it (lol)

Yeah I get it! I have a soft spot for Yamaha's, but if I kick my own arse occasionally, I come to my senses.
