So true. Its a nice bit of road so it would be rude not to do it on a regular basis.
CX passed the wfo check ok. Goodness I luv shafties. 15mins and wheel changed. Shoes still have a bit left so will leave till I go on the xmas break. Much better now the rear tyre has a bit of shape to it. Bike looks a bit odd, well odder than usual, though with a reverse comstar on the back.
nice pootle, hadn't been out that way for some time, good to catch up with the usual suspects, and some new ones![]()

It's only Rock and Roll but I like it
Thanks guys for the ride, that was good fun and got to meet some new people. I am looking forward to trying to keep up in the future.
Your welcome along anytime mate as is anybody who doesn't ride like a muppet.
Just one thing though, I don't know how serious the second part of your statement is about keeping up, I suspect it's tongue in cheek which is all good 'round here mate, plenty of light hearted ribbing and shit talk on the Manawatu forums for sure.
Just incase you weren't kidding, none of the rides that the Manawatu crowd organize especially the Friday night rides require you to "keep up". They are there for all riders of all skill levels to enjoy with NO pressure to go beyond your skill of comfort levels. These rides can go one of two ways as I see it, either the ride can be a fairly relaxed low key pace as it was last night or there can be times where some like to go a "smidge" quicker which is just fine as long as ANY passing is done with the utmost consideration to others and better still if you feel going a "smidge" quicker it's be better to get yourself to the front of the group from the get go.
The idea is for everyone to be comfortable with the ride and enjoy, never should anyone be concerned with holding people up or being left behind as the Friday night rides are and always have been as far as i'm concerned an opportunity for like minded people to get together at the end of the week to wind down and socialize etc...
Phew, didn't really start out to rant but I was on a roll
I hope to see you on more FNR's Kiwigjt, it is a great to wind down after the weekly drudge of work.
yeh was a pretty good ride, despite a bit of a wind.
no need to keep up, just keep it up-right![]()

Hehe can remember one of my first FNR,riding around the track and looking in mirrors as heard a bike,to hear then see Sarge passing me as we went round a left hander, excellent manouvre, and could hear it before seeing lol, joys of the old GSX with stock system. And the yamaha certainly could boogy.
