White pride doesn't make sense. Neither does black pride.

Pride (in this context) comes from an identity based on history and culture. I wouldn't identify myself with all white people - because quite a few are bastards, as are others with different skin colour.

I think NZ would be the poorer without our Maori identity and custom.

Sadly, the media sensationalise and focus on the confrontational interactions (what started this thread) because it sells more TV and papers.

If you want bias, get your fill with the fourth estate!

I think they call it 'selective stupidity'.

Why did it take so long you ask? I will bet all the loose change in my wallet that they pulled out the race card on the po-leese.

Have you incisive thinkers any idea of the corruption practised by Tory Whitey at the top of the food chain? Maori are just kids at a lolly scramble for the dregs.

He sure got you whipped into shape as yap dog to protect his estates and interests.

Drug addiction and alcoholism of Maori with its accompanying child abuse and self abuse are symptomatic of ethnic people in today's new world.

Imagine if the Japanese took over here and you became someone's bitch as they spoke of how unrefined and stupid you were, and your culture was manipulated by a superior intelligence for their own ends.

oh wait.... we have an empire bearing down on us now....karma does exist!

dam right i dont, whatever problem these guys have is with the govment not the yacht club or the local council, the cops should have been there 30 minutes after the protesters set up camp, giving these guys a good battening, these are the guys who pushed our prime minister around on waitangi day, try that in most other countrys and you wont breathe fresh air for a long time, any protesters on any benefit should be removed from it immediately. New Zealand will never be rid of the moaning wingers if the govmnt gives in to them, taxpayers will be proping them up for ever. I dont give a black rats arse who ripped who off 200 years ago its time to move on, maori cant keep blaming european settlement for their failure to to succeed in this century they have the same choices and chances that everybody else has and in some sectors they have better chances, there are lots of good honest hard working maori who just get on with it then there are the ones like these protesting cunts who will never be happy, NZ would be a better place if these guys vanished one night never to be seen again

I was just reading your post above Jimo, I just fee, that your views, while sharded by a large number of Kiwis, and in some points are right...... Are actually missing a vital component.

The truth is that just because the last 20 years Moari have indeed had MASSIVE resources made available to them, does not instantly negate the hundreds of years of "second class citizenship " they have been subjected to.

It is all about the environment you are raised in..... If your preceeding generations before you suffer from a lack of education and social graces, then, logically you are doomed to repeat it.... Because you are raised by your environment.

It is going to take many many years of resources being offered to successive generations of Maori before the culture becomes ones of higher education, and genetic role models (such as us whites have had since day one)

While he is indeed a whitey, and, sometimes unpopular, if I was trying to help a young white kid who was heading into a circle of destruction, due to his family scene being disruptive, I would inform them of John Banks..... A man raised in a state house, by alcoholic benificery parents, who ended up being our top cop, an MP, then the Mayor of Auckland.

He could just as easily have ended up in prison.

It was his choice to be a productive member of society. I'm sick of all the hoodrats who go around breaking into cars and beating up innocent people and blaming it on their childhood.
