You do 100 laps, I'll do 20 in the same time
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!

All the shingle roads in the area are ok, well swept in average condition at the moment.
The road Port Levy to Pidgeon Bay sometimes has more coarse chip on it but seemed ok last night.
Had my CBR1000f on them back when I had it and the VF1000f before the CBR.
VF was a bit more fun maybe because it had less Fairing and narrower tyres.
Can you imagine the reaction if I suggested that for a WNR????

With the great turnout we've been getting at WNR, considering different bike types, ages and differing rider preferences and abilities, you are never going to please all of the people all of the time. There's no rule that says everyone has to follow the same route so I reckon we should just attempt to meet at a certain place (pub) at a preferred time.

You young upstart! Not a bad idea tho, but if I do 100 laps of Ruapuna I'm still just going to end up at Ruapuna dammit
These aren't the bikes we're looking for....

The whole idea of an "organised ride" ... is everybody goes to the same place in an organised and safe fashion. If a breakdown/crash occurs ... it is known about and problem dealt with sooner. Everybody looking out for each other.

The bikers theory that the journey ... is not as important as the destination ... holds no weight with you then

Yes, as I said - the Pub

Absolutely. When it comes to that, what's the difference between a big group of 30+ riders and three groups of 10 riders?

If you get it spectactularly wrong at turn one you can make it to the prison.

Via either Diamond Harbour, Purau and or Port Levy.

Those that want to go the longer distance can, while those that would prefer a shorter ride also can.

I wouldn't take my old honda over those roads, so I couldn't expect anyone else to take their bikes over them could I !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would you like to go to Greta next week and come to the Taitap this week??????
