BT-016's are going cheap ($418 set) if you want triple compound sport tyres.

Struggle with the positioning of the M5's within the range of Metzler's a little, so are the M5's a Pilot Power 2ct equivalent?

From what I've heard about the Bridgy 016's they're good tires but wear out quickly. Given what i've tried so far the Road 2's Last very well and don't deteriorate into piles of puss half way through their life, all at a too outlandish price.
Something about the Metz M5's is appealing to me though, thanks to Cowboy's i'm sorted for my next set of tires but perhaps next time... Might go off in search of feedback about M5's and M8's...

Yod, might be worth a bash if it's only $33.50 the difference but look at the M8's too.

Edit: By the way Yod the M8's have the same tread pattern if that makes any difference to you, different carcass construction but similar execution.
yeah, it's more a case of "I've heard they're good but you just don't know how they'll last" but given it's positioning in the market, I'll bet your bottom dollar it doesn't last like a PR2

What are the Bridgestones like grip and wear-wise Owl? $418 is fekkin cheap! who's that from?

hadn't heard about the newer Sport Touring Metzeler, they could be the go, but probably same price as the M5....

Undoubtedly won't last as long, how many k's a year are you doing now?

    Cycletreads I think...

Yeah, then again you might be the first to discover they're even better than PR2's, go on you now you wanna...

Nice, did you venture to put on a 55 profile rear? I reckon it might be a good way to go to help quicken up the steering a little along with a wee smidge more ground clearance....

Nah. Sticking with what I know and not concerned with quickening the steering up. Pretty rare to scrape anything - the Connie hasn't been over the Kuratau Saddle for a wee while...

Fair enough, the Concour's (the black one same model as yours) that I took for a test ride from AFC found the hero blobs pretty quickly... Mind you that might be a rider weight issue more than anything...

Cycletreads as Sarge said. BT-016's I had were OEM tyres, so not really comparable and retail version could only be better. Grip was awesome though, wear not so flash (4000km).

I've never seen a Z8, only heard of them. New Plymouth Motorcycles stock a lot of Metzelers at very good prices. PR2 still ST king I reckon

    PR2's

I got a set of PR2s sent to me from Cycletreads for 460 $ landed here, just to get them fitted now.

Put set or pair into trademe and you'll find them, ANZA quoted me 640$ just to buy them a couple of weeks ago, so I looked around and the guy from CTreads told me to look on TM.
