    Now now kiddies.......play nice

For those interested, I got in touch with Speedbox.tv to find out when coverage would be online, and its going on the www.speedbox.tv site at the end of Jan.

I watched most of the day live online and the coverage was bloody great, camera's at every corner with commentators that seemed to actually know about the riders and bikes hahaa. Worth a look once its up online

Dukic Performance proven Fact!!!! To be fast on the Roads and the Tracks, might not have the history of CKT yet, but he has got his gear on the fast pace very quick, I think a lot of that is to do with the fact he rides bikes also, so understands riders feed back quite well.

    Easy Craig!

Unless I am hugely mistaken many or most of the top riders and their machines ( many that are faster than the Merkel Honda ) did not attend the 3 hour, 16 odd entrants I think. I take nothing away from their win but in the presence of a full complement of competitors at rounds 1 and 2 of the Tri Series that bike was nothing special at all. Set up issues? Limitations of the stock suspension on such circuits?

It has been intimated that I dont ride bikes regularly and that hurts my ability to understand setup. Well in fact Ive been riding bikes since the early 70s and have held a full motorcycle license for just as long. I had a succession of large capacity road bikes and didnt own a car for many years, I also rode in all weather and long distances, so in that time had the essence of being a true motorcyclist. In 1985 I had the big road accident that was lucky not to kill me, comprehensively destroying an RZ500. So a typical story of been there and done that, its just Ive never really broadcast it.

My profession means that I will ride motorcycles several times a week and often they need to be pushed along pretty briskly to expose any weaknesses. I consider myself a competent and highly experienced motorcyce rider and have never ever to anyone overstated my abilities, that sort of chest beating doesnt interest me, especially those that perpetuate their own delusions of grandeur. Sure Ive never raced but instead have spent more time studying chassis and suspension technology. I know a good deal of very competent road racers through the years who are unable to analyse what a machine is doing. Ive also known some who are very good with feedback and sometimes you can get a very sharp and very correct comment from a newbie road racer.

Stroud has always treated Wanganui with caution, till this year his record of 7 wins, 15 seconds and eleven thirds reflects this.
Go Stauffer and Bernard racing and I hope they find the resources to do the nationals to.
Who knows Stauffer may even still be in NZ then, he and five other passsengers were bumped of a flight to aussie as it was overweight, then he slept in for the next flight; haven't heard whether he's left the country as yet!
Lastly I am not biased, despite being a sponsor of both Stauffer personally and Bernard racing, I just want to see good clean racing.
The three highlights of my day were Stauffers wins, Stauffers wide lines out of suzuki and following passing maneuovres, and in the early stages of the first Formula one race seeing six different brands in the first six places.
    That's a treat.
I absolutely and 100% agree with you about Dans abilities

Correct me if Im wrong but many of the road riders I deal with do not neccessarily wish to travel at higher speeds on the road. They want much more compliance in their suspension and more chassis ride height control.

Thats a pretty shaky start you have got off to if you havent fundamentally recognised that........

Does anyone want to buy some really cool CARROZZERIA wheels? They will make a massive difference to how your bike handles. Also...I understand Craig fixes fridges in case anyone needs one fixed.

You and Simon were certainly the crowd pleasers this year mate, thanks again for putting on an awesome show. My two girls are still raving on about "the pretty lady doing skids on the orange sidecar"

You are correct re the announcer saying there was a new lap record as that's how the info came through to the tower.
I'm picking that the system has a lap record history for the F1 and the Robert Holden Memorial
