Yamaha walked away from supporting Paeroa after the issues with the run off on the kink on the back straight, and the publicity that it created.

I heard they were upgrading to a motor scraper this year after the forklift failed to deliver last year.
Although it is my understanding that the riders rep did do a lap in a vehicle prior to the racing commencing last year & failed to notice the forklift, so not entirely the organisers fault.

Thats not true mate a scraper wasnt even considered, we are removing the Hay bales and replacing them with a display of the WW11 vehicles , tanks , half tracks APC that sort of thing, that way we can have another special feature to attract the crowds. there is a Fire truck with a grunty hose there as well, should be sweet

I had a call yesterday saying Craig we havent got your entry yet and they have closed and I was like im not coming and never racing at Paeroa again. O y not? Because its a dangerous shit hole and im 2 old and over it!
