I'm bald not a racist. There is no racial bigotry here. I do not look down on niggers, kikes, whops or greasers! Here you are ALL equally worthless! (or white-trash for that matter but not part of the line).
Same standard for everyone is not racism it is equality.
Look up what racism means. You'll be surprised. It does'nt mean "word to flang around if someone says something controversial". In essence it means you consider a race or races inferior. I do not at all think in this way. I do not care where you are from, or what you believe in, I just want you do have to follow the same rules and standards I have to.
I do and always will work next to anyone capable of doing the job very happliy, race, religion, all that jazz is moot for me. And, to be perfectly clear, i'd say the same to a white man, or any other colour. Was I a dick in the way I said it, absolutely. Racist, no.
A bit hypocritical from the 'man' who chases and intimidates little girls.,.......read above.

A 100kg woman is not a little girl. But you seem to know the story better than I do anyway.
The statement you made about the Sikh was racism. You said directly that if he won't wear the hat like the other cops he should "fuck off back to India". I'm sure he and his ancestors would have gladly said "fuck off back to England" for the 150 years they occupied India.
Who are you to say he isn't allowed to be a police officer due to his religion? A prick with 1950s views of the world. Much the same as you think it's a big deal to follow someone who cut me off and laughed about it while they were cutting me off. Because obviously she felt sooo bad for doing it.![]()
To be honest, in a lot of ways I'd rather deal with the sikh popo than those other two. I think they are wearing their hats far too jauntily, and are not to be trusted.
Keep on chooglin'
It's only racism if it applied to him only, you are deliberately missing the fact that I did say it applies to anybody of any colour wanting to do the same thing, and I would say the same thing to a white guy, yellow guy, pink guy wanting to do the same.
Actually look up the dictionary definition, you will find it's proper meaning is far from what it is applied to.
I did'nt say anything about him or his religion being inferior, nor that anyone other than an Indian sikh can wear the turban. I believe in keeping the rules consistent for all. It is my opinion. I don't expect everyone to agree with it, or to understand the rules and brotherhood that comes with a uniform.

Bleedin Honkey? Whatever floats ya boat. I don't recall attaching a colour title to you.
Hmmm, I am coming of two minds......I still disagree that allowances are given like this. How many kiwi cops are there in India? Do kiwis have representation in their police force? Does it really matter? It does'nt matter what colour the cop is. Why does everyone need to be represented?
If I moved to India and I had to wear a turban to join their Police force i'd do it (if that's what I wanted to do obviously). Respecting religion is fine, but why can't our rules and regulations be respected too?

So you're saying that we should be governed by our laws with no respect for others because we're in charge? And that to be a police officer in a country he might have grown up in he can't be a Sikh.
If I go to Japan/Hong Kong I expect I can do as I please and no one will care. It's a developed country, that can handle different cultures. Much as we should be, much as England should be also.
If I went to a developing country I'd make sure to follow their customs. They'd probably have too much of a spaz about me not following their customs. The view point is entirely different.
England/NZ/America... pretty much all the developed countries will have large sets of multicultural groups, and this in turn can't lead to discrimination from old laws set in place when the workforce was entirely white!
I'm sure that Sikh cop can't just wear any turban, I'm sure the administration would have said "wear navy blue turbans" so that they don't turn up to work in a bright red one. Therefore he has a uniform, that allows him as a Sikh to work as a police officer.
Morally you cannot say to him that he can't work because he wears a turban. As would it if you said to a Muslim he's not allowed to work as the prayer times fall during work. The whole point of a developed/modern country is to allow people from everywhere to work in the country.
What happens when you do follow the rules exactly, like that guy with the turban who couldn't go and accept his community award because the RSA didn't allow headwear inside. He can't feel like a normal person in society, because there are rules set directly against him.
How many rules in NZ directly affect only white people? None, so you're not disadvantaged in the slightest so why are you bitching?

Oh flippin heck. From one honkey to another, it was a flippant comment.
1) The cop in the question was in England. There's shedloads of Indians in England. About 2 million from memory. About 700,000 of them are Sikhs and I think about 1 in 20 peeps in London are Sikh (and it felt like about 1 in 5 in north west London). Therefore it wouldn't be unreasonable for London to make small concessions to accommodate Sikh coppers.
If there was an area of India with a large Kiwi population, then yeah, I think there should be Kiwi's in their police force. If colour doesn't matter, then would you be so relaxed if if 100% of the kiwi police force were Maori or Chinese?
Dude, the cop in question has not MOVED to the UK. His family have probably been there for over a century.
Rules and regulations have to move with the times depending on how the ethnic, moral and religious mix of a country change. The Maori changed their rules and regulations to accommodate us non-Maori. As New Zealand has large Chinese and Indian populations, I have no issue with making concessions to accommodate their wishes so long as it is not directly at odds with the majority of the rest of the population. Hell, the Mormons and Muslims can have 4 wives here because as far as I'm concerned, it doesn't directly affect any other section of the population.
In some countries I have visited ...
where Sikh's are commonplace ....
they have dispensation NOT to wear crash helmets while riding motorcycles ...![]()
