I have 2 quarts of Japanese beer, a packet of pretzels and am settling in to this one. Go the Poms.

I hoped they learnt their lesson last time when it took two months to get the cup over and done with. I can't work out why on most days they only have one match. 4-5 weeks is too long. We had a week between matches, that is stupid. Should be max of 4 days between games for each country, ideally 2-3. The players must be bored shitless, you can only practice so much.

I hope the black caps donated their match fees to the eq fund cause they sure as hell didn't earn them the other night. Cock ups in every corner. The biggest was saving the powerplay till after McCullum was out. How dumb is that. Although I guess it wouldn't have changed the result.

The story so far is that India has the batting, Aus the bowling and SA the best all round team.

    It's out of them.

Pakistan could cause an upset or two, but how Afridi goes - so do they.

So far the haters are pretty much right.

2 interesting games and the rest (like last night) have been complete rubbish.

    Wow, who would've thought?
We are now top of Group A with Canada and Sri Lanka to play.

Thats made things a bit more interesting, could be heading for a quarter vs England/Bangladesh/West Indies possibly?
