    Smile Life is great

There is so much doom and gloom at times that it can be quite depressing. It is those little moments in life that are just there for an instant and then gone the next. Those times where you feel really happy, or when someone has made your day and know that life is great. So I thought I'd share my moment......

Today I woke up to find that my two children had snuck into bed with me during the night. I looked at their peaceful sleeping faces, and listened to their little snores and it made me think just how much I loved them and how there was nowhere in the world that I'd rather be at that moment than with them curled up in bed.....

    You are absolutely right.

It must have been a nasty date last night.

"You must spread..." Awwww... isn't that a great moment? My kids are a bit big for that, but they still love a cuddle from their Dad!

Yup - its all good really. Despite all the crappy things of late that generally depress everyone, recessions, earthquakes, etc the fact is we as a species have never been warmer or as well fed as we are right now. Factor in the love of your family and the value of stuuf like that rather than the short term pleasure a big TV brings and your realise that life aint too bad really.

Last night - I tightened up grandson #1's BMX seat showing him how to select the right spanner and where they were kept, sat granson #2 on a bike so his mum could take a piccy of him and the class mascot that he got to bring home (I even made a wee helmet for the mascot and popped Vickis open face on #2) then had a quick chat with #1 about assignment layout and gave him some stuff to read as research before Vicki and I headed off to the gym for a quick workout. Laughed my arse off when she slid off a bosu (slippery pants) and we were both in stitches by the time she finished with her ab's.

Pretty good evening really and nothing special until you look around. There were no tanks in our street, no roaming gangs of thugs, the shops were full of stuff to eat and the showers hot when we finished.....

    Lifes good...

There is a great deal to be thankful for. I can surf when I want and am fairly free and easy rider

Gratitude is hard to come by nowadays.

I reckon. My daughter (16) and I started on our Paraglider Licences last weekend. What a huge grin our faces during the 3 hour drive home! There was a 12 y/o wee thing there starting her training as well!
"I am a licenced motorcycle instructor, I agree with dangerousbastard, no point in repeating what he said."
"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."
