Yawn. Just like you presumed everything else based on your blinkered one eyed view of the world. Don't jump to conclusions without knowing the facts - you just look like a dumbarse once they do become known.

Without fear or favour the job must be done, otherwise you are leaving yourself open to a complaint, and KB is the perfect example of how people love to complain.

What sort of message does it send out? I see so many Kroad losers who steal knowingly abusing this situation, as they understand they cant be touched and do a runner if they get caught.

Bit like police car chases eh? Why are they allowed unsafe pursuits which put innocent motorists lives at risk. While in this case Mr Clemence caught someone red handed. He should never had hurt them but they did try to escape and probably struggled

They should have given them a fucking good hiding then taken them far out into the country and dumped them so they could find there own way back.
No need to involve the police and it would be more than they will get from the courts.

    Full story here
In todays paper in Dunedin, two young guys chased, tackled, and held down some guy at 3am in the morning, because he was near their house. These two young guys are being 'hailed as community watch heros' by the police. No word of this guy ACTUALLY doing anything other than looking around.

Yet someone who does the exact same to someone who HAS been stealing from them?

Bit of consistency needed me thinks.

I never thought that this was a complex idea? Real simple, and sorts things out... Just don't leave too many marks.

Having been in construction previously, its ridiculous getting ripped off... they gain far far less than the cost of putting things back etc. You involve the police, they organise a cute little family conference (if they're juvenile) or say, sorry, no leads. Chance of things happening again? Pretty much 100%.

Give the fuckers a hiding, promise more if they come back... Problem sorted.

    Never really seen the point

In bagging the cops, I mean i have a record that would make some people shit. But if you are not doing anything wrong, there should be no reason for them to hassle you.I find it really funny when people start going on about fucking pigs giving me a speeding ticket or some shit like ,I got pulled over by this fucking pig and he gave me a ticket for no warrant or rego the cunt. They were doing their job, thats what they do. If you cant do the time or pay the fine, then dont do shit that is gonna get you pinged. Not respecting someone because of their job is a bit lame in my opinion.

Probably because limp dick judges AND prosecutions are condoning the failing to stop by negotiating that charge away as an administrative breach in order to get a plea on others like dangerous/reckless/EBA etc. That, together with the media frenzy surrounding pursuits and the police being maligned by the very public IPCA watchdog at every turn (and Goddard is a dog with some of her decisions and statements)... where was I... If the offence of failing to stop was censured appropriately that then would be a deterrent. But what irks me most of all is the police getting criticised for doing exactly what they're supposed to do... apprehend crims and keep me safe. And about the "unsafe pursuits" If the crims didn't run there wouldn't be pursuits... do you suggest not pursuing?... is that the community you want?
