So forget the speed thing as the only cause of death that's been increasing since 1996 is diabetes. Lets focus those cameras outside the fast food joints and ticket everyone buying Big Macs.

No no no, limit to fast food once a week, ween it off, then make it once every two weeks.

but has big mac consumption gone up since 1996? I would have said the only foods to be getting significant increase since then is "diet" products & "health food" time to tax diet coke I think

What about when you might be coasting down a hill, no other traffic minding your business and drift to the deathly speed of 108kmh and get copped for it. Hardly a crime committed don't you think. It looks to me that the NZ driving law enforcement is way out of control.

Does not change the fact that it is breaking the law though, not saying i agree with getting a ticket for it,but if i do i would not cry about it,I would put my energy into finding the money to pay it.Certainly wouldnt about it on a public forum. But thats just me.

at 58 in a 50k zone I'd just say that your speedo was reading 54, you thought you were going the speed limit. the 10km/h tolerance is there because speedos are innacurate (though tend to read over rather than under, but hey!:-P)

I'd hate to be driving near Mr you're breaking the law and should be punished at 58k's down a hill...

What I've never understood is why out east heaps of the speed limits are 60 in residential areas, and why over in aus (well at least brisbane/qld) residential speed limits are 60/70km/h!

Justice.

Have heard of a story about a group of guys that stopped at a camera van, and struck up a convo with the operator, while one of them snuck around the front, took the plate off, and put it on their car, they then proceeded to do several high speed runs past the van. bet that raised some questions when the van got multiple speeding tickets on the day it was on duty!!! . . .

    Dude,

I dont know what you do for a job,
But I dont think its fair to rant and rage at someone doing their Job, I think they are a mixture of civilian and police operated.

I like the police, I think for the amount of shit they have to deal with everyday, they do alright, and I dont dislike a single police officer, the police in general sometimes I can feel annoyed with them, slow response times etc, but a police person, its their Job and I hate the sour pricks who come into my place of work and rant about something that isnt there because they know I have no control over the fact that its not there.
Same situation a speed camera set up to clock anyone doing over a certain speed is going to go off if YOUR SPEEDING, the person behind is isnt in control of the camera, they are their to maintain it etc etc so I dont see it fair to rant about them.
I agree with been shitty as fuck at been caught speeding, It always annoys the shit out of me, but its a case of responsibility, I was speeding, I know I was speeding, therefore I must be cough up the fine, Simple as that.

Imagine what Katman would say if he seen this... Speeding.. Its just unsafe.
