Yeah, NZHerald getting a beating over the publishing. Some websites still have unedited pics...but most are now pixelated.

Interesting commentary on the publishing of photos here from Ex SAS top dog - http://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/podcasts/audio/30091001.mp3

Actually, I'm not sure why NZ soldiers should need anonymity unless they are doing shit that strictly speaking they shouldn't be.

In the UK the SAS would regularly come face to face with Irish terrorists in undercover operations, there anonymity was protected for this reason. What is NZ's SAS doing that should require it?

To protect them and their families from people who Simply Dont Give a Fuck about right and wrong and what they should or should not be doing.
They are not dealing with internet warriors.

If they are using PMCs then that might be a reason. Places like Blackwater and NVM have been in a fair amount of trouble for "doing things they shouldn't be"

These guys work all over the world with terrorism. Osama Binladen got from Afghanistan to New York easily enough, ya reckon he couldn't have made it to NZ?
That is why they are protected!

They're training the Afghan Spec Ops teams. They're not terrorists yet, they're still in the US good books. Give it time, the US have done this more than once as you probably know.

It would be fair to say that any country big enough to poke it's snout into another countries affairs has probably had a go at it at some stage.

Knock yourself out, I can take it...

I wouldn't blame the arabs for bombing the RWC either... you fuck around in their business, you get a bloody nose. They've never made any secret about that.

you red repped me too....natural aversion to criticism? Even when you make comments 'like'..... you wouldnt blame the arabs if they murdered hundreds of us while we watch rugby.
