I personally don't dislike her music, Its nothing special but its better then a lot out there. It received commercial success which given what else sells doesn't account for anything.

She has her backing band to thank for much of the sound she had, and they of course carried her through her rubbish live shows.

Still the fact remains, her crazy bitch drug persona out shadowed her limited musical career years ago.

All these crocodile tears are laughable.

If a thread had been started about AW while she was alive all of you would probably have been deriding her as a skanky ho.

Why should it be any different just because she's dead?

A spurious argument - her death is news.

I've not seen you posting any concern about the people of north Japan before the big earthquake, but you were quick to post a thread when they were killed in large numbers. Hyena...?

I bought that "Back to Black" CD and really liked it, but it got to the point I couldnt listen to it because all I could think about was her crazy, fucked up, druggie lifestyle.

Same as Nirvana in a way. I rarely listen to them now though I was a massive fan in the day. I do like that "From the Muddy Banks of the Wishgah" record though. Much much more than the Unplugged one that everyone loves. Pah! I spit on Nirvana-lite, making it safe for your grandma to listen to: they were a rock and roll band, they need to rock and roll. I digress (again).

    So sad, such a waste.

Has anyone posted Russell Brand's tribute/open letter/eulogy/treatise about addiction yet. Its worth reading.

    No?
