Cars got completely covered at work last night here in Kapiti....couple of the residents were crying watching it fall. I think they never expected to see it again

Christ sake! To quote a mate of mine-(that summed it up perfectly)

"if Aucklander's can get a 2.9 earthquake and know what its like to live in Chch, then with the snow there getting, they must know what its like to live in Scott Base."

I got sick of shoveling the paths clear today so went for wee look around the neighbourhood. I haven't played in the park for years ...

The views expressed above may not match yours - But that's the reason my Dad went to war - wasn't it?
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!

I believe he has little empathy for the plight of Aucklanders ... in their hours of suffering in extreme cold ... with their now full understanding of the plight of Christchurch residents ... after the recent 2.9 ...

I will have you know we got down to 1 over night last night, AND we had ice on our deck Will be even colder tonight as we have clear skies This in a place that sees maybe 2 frosts every couple of years or so :

Oh, oh, and when it is windy it prevents our flued gas fired heating to cool down properly and it goes onto "safety mode". It is simply not possible to heat anything on a pilot light BRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still, we get to go to bed early and cuddle up to keep warm

That is real winter for us little hot house, coddled north of Aucklanders

I hate the fact I am now part of the SuperShitty!
