[QUOTE=SimJen;1130137109]67hp thats modified though, no RGV's came out with that much from the factory? QUOTE]

I might have to correct you there. I beleive 93 - 94 RGV's came out factory with 60-62 hp depending on the market they were intended for.

American / Canadian ones were the most restricted. UK were least restricted, and Japanese market ones I believe were in between.
NZ market were the same as US as we were getting the same specs.

The Aprilia RS250 supposedly had 70hp from memory but I think that was a little white lie!
Yep, that's modified with pipes, heads, and a revised ignition curve. The RS250 had the same HP as the regular export model RGV give or take a hp... the motor to have is the RGV SP motor with the dry clutch, but even then you'd dump most of it.

That 5-7 hp is a pretty big gulf to surf though. Having said that, any of the VJ22s, Jap models or not, can make that easily enough.

My 92 NZ spec model came out with 57hp at the rear in absolutely stock standard trim. NZ Proddie rules forbid much modifications except for tidying things up.

Friends 96 or 97 SP (Lucky Strike special) was 63 hp in stock trim and close to 67 hp by the time he finished with it. Mods were: full Arrow system, remaped ignition. He binned it soon after and sold it for parts

Shame, they only made 114 (ish) full power Lucky Strike VJ23s.

Getting in the range of 67hp isn't a big problem anymore.
