I see that if he wins another GP he'll match the great Eddie Lawson for GP wins at 31. Pretty good effort, and already more wins than Revvin Kevin and Rainey. Like the guys persona or not...should be thankful we get to see such aggressive yet controlled riding. He's on a mission.
i was impressed when he first threw a leg over a 990 honda....he showed good speed right from the start

Aye. And although he crashed it semi often...better to be fast and crashing than safe but slow! Another funny thing...a lot of experts criticised him for crashing too often on the Ducati. It would appear now that he was simply trying to win races on a bike that in theory was not capable of doing so. I mean...how many races has he crashed out of this season (his own doing)?

The haters must be a hatin this season!!! Funnily enough...most of the haters happen to be Rossi lovers. Double hatin.

I agree that Stoner is the fastest rider of the modern-era (although I won't forget seeing Rainey smoke a screaming 500 down the corkscrew...) We'll have to wait to see how he stacks up alongside those names on the title score, of course. It's a funny game so he'll need luck but he is a hard little fucker.

When I first heard that Rossi would go to Ducati for his retirement fund (`benefit years'), it reminded me a little of when Lawson went to Cagiva in '91. I don't think it is the right way for declining greats to end their careers.

I actually think Rossi went to Ducati thinking he would win on it mate. Especially after the comments he made about Stoner not trying hard enough last year. He's certainly come back to earth with a rather large thud though.

Don't forget that when Lawson went to Cagiva, they ended up with a much more competitive bike. He did more than just bank the cheques.
The best way to forget all your troubles is to wear tight underpants.

And unlike Rossi (so far), he also won a race on the thing.

Ok, well I've sent my email off to sky. Hopefully you guys have done the same. Even the superbikes are getting delayed by a few hours. The MotoGP video pass looks good though, 80 bucks for the half year in HD hehe
