Yep I was shocked at frame and l brackets for gixxer $279 picked one off here for $113 luckily, and pack from trademe for $50 years ago lol.
Have an oxford tankbag which expands to pretty good size going cheap, wont go on tank as half plastic, and cant be bothered tying it under tank.

We have spare tank bags (two) here if anyone want to borrow one?
A blue one and a black one....both magnetic.
Not much baggage space should be needed really.. A clean pair of socks and undies, maybe a shirt and your wallet? Possibly a tooth brush too I suppose
A quick question with luggage. Plan to be on a sports bike by then. I was told that sports bike dont mix well with panneirs most of the time. Is this true. If so Ill need to see what luggage can be taken on the bike. And plan from there.
Hyosung gt250r for anyone that wonders.
Had a pair of panniers placed under the pillion seat/cowl of my bike, did the velcro up and all ok,main thing is if going pillion way get clear sticker to protect paint work from rubbing.

If you think that's expensive... wait until you see hard luggage. My pannier racks are standard equipment... panniers alone are $2500 for the pair. Please do make sure none of the straps can fall out, get stuck in wheels etc, as it turns ugly real fast.
You just have to strap them on well, weight them evenly, and as above, watch for rubbing straps destroying your paintwork.
Remember guys, especially if it's your first long distance trip. Using a backpack will tire you out faster than not using one, due to all that weight on your back, and if it slips mid-corner it can also be dangerous. Hip/chest straps are useful there. The shoulder straps can also restrict blood flow to the arms, if it's too tight (especially when you have all the thick bike gear on).

Those stretchy nets are really good, dont forget the bungees either.
Good advice here alright. I am not a big fan of back packs on bikes and not just for the reasons you call here. I knew a guy that broke his neck coming off his bike with a back pack full of builders tools on his back
I will probably have a bit of room in my bag if anyone needs to educe their loads. As long as I can still fit my hair dryer and my lippy and my wine in all will be good![]()
Everything is optional...take what ever you want (but not water bottles, they vibrate)...some would rather sleep in a bag on top of a bed.
We are going to check the accommodation out on the 30th (next weekend)...maybe, at this stage.
We will book the place for this ride also.
I will take a few photos and get a better idea of how many rooms there are and also what configuration they are.
So we should have everything kinda sorted by the following week.![]()
