Whatever you do, dont cross the streams!

No, I haven't.
I have seen the ME after some names on here and know it means mentor but that is as far as my knowledge on the matter goes.
I looked at the MAG web site when they started up but not since. To be honest I thought they had folded because they entered here screaming and shouting but then went all quiet. BRONZ has never interested me.

I am writing about this article http://www.stuff.co.nz/waikato-times...g-bikes-to-pay recently published by your newspaper.
It is factually incorrect and misleading, and shows the writer has failed to conduct any research of consequence what so ever.
NZTA figures show that motorcyclists are entirely responsible for under one-half of accidents that they are involved in, meaning on average they are slightly better than the norm.
A fair insurance scheme would apportion costs to the person liable for the accident not the victim.
This would mean that the average motorcyclist should pay less than the average motorist.
Consider too, that a large part of ACCs costs is related to earnings related compensation.
Thus the levy paid by pensioners, beneficiaries and low income earners provides them with little or no earnings related compensation.
However an ACC account manager on $100,000, has $100,000 worth of cover, and yet pays the same levy.
Most New Zealanders ask only two things of ACC.
That it adhere to its "no fault, no blame" founding policy, and that it collect levies in a balanced and fair manner.
In my opinion, ACC is making a poor job of both.
David must play fair with the other kids, even the idiots.
Did any of our letters actually end up in the paper ?

The most powerful protest against a newspaper is to ignore it - and not publicise it further (which is exactly what they want).
