    Finally fully figured out what happened in waipu. My ill fated attempts at a hotwiring demonstration DID result in me shorting out the electrics making the fuse go pop.

    Bluerider, you have to connect the red and brown wires.
    Connect the red and black wires like I did .......



    The same thing happened at work last night (no, not the hotwiring, the bike not starting up) This morning I stripped the bike at (with a little help) finally figured out the fuse I put in at maha/moms was cheaply made and was only giving intermittent connection. A close look at the circuit diagram afterwards showed me why the bike didn't go after I connected wires that shouldn't have been connected up north.

    can i be annoying and ask does anyone have the google map trail or any map for that matter mapped out of cape reinga trip? i.e. where we started stpped stayed .....

    would be greatly appreciated.!!
