I like the gateway comments, it is no different to milk being a gateway drink. Can guarantee that most drinkers of methylated spirits actually started off on milk, or even water. We should obviously ban those as well.

There also distribution networks in place too... as ya say, the only thing missing is its "status". Be interesting to see how many "cafes" opened up in towns around NZ swelling the tourism $$$. Less of a gateway too where the seller will likely only have 1 thing to sell
