Unfortunately the current state of affairs is all we have at present. If you have a plan that will improve our nation and will offer a better outcome you yourself must offer your leadership.

This Bible, that has caused so much - trouble - is just the writings of man. I say 'man' because in the patriarchal society that spawned this collection of stories, no-one took any notice of women, apart from the obvious, and therefore would consider few their utterings important enough to write down.

What does Grandpa have to say about the theory that unmarried women were considered virgins, even if not technically so. If Joseph and Mary indulged in a little heavy petting (not unlikely, let's face it), and with or without any penetration Mary was the recipient of a little juice in or about her interesting bits, she could have become pregnant.
Now, in those god-fearing superstitious times, an excellent story to explain this awkward situation would of course be to say "God did it".
For centuries religions have decided for themselves what the Bible says and have both innocently and more, deliberately misled the people as to it's message. It is behoven upon us as individuals to read and examine it for ourselves without regard to religious dogma, doctrine or tradition.

Doing so would go a long way to dispelling the myths and misconceptions and would put the churches in their place.

Good answer, Grandpa. And, I am surprised, it was an answer, not a response...

Take any so-called miracles (which are just shit that no-one could explain at the time) out of it, and what you are left with is not much more than Aesop's Fables...a book of stories about morals.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

We have been given many things to explore and understand. Man is curious by nature and naturally seeks to explore and understand the world around him. We are not given all the answers, just the intelligence to find them for ourselves which is more exciting and satisfying.

Do your study and research and discover this for yourself. It is a gift and a blessing.

As with beauty, superiority is in the eye of the beholder. Often confused with personal preference, superiority is dependent upon the desire and lifestyle choices of the individual. You may find dirt bikes are superior to road bikes and this would be true in an off-road setting, but would fail on a road race track. Superior items are those which best fulfil their design intent.
