Pedo is a good rider, and has had the right equipment for many years...but can't pull together a championship!

Which is why I want him to have an injury free year, and see if he can do it.

most non motorcycling people can usually name three (or four depending on how old they are) motorcycle people: They are Rossi, Sheene, Evel Kneivel, and if they're old Hailwood.

So who's better for the sport: Rossi, because Joe Lunchbox (who has sky sport) does not know or give a fuck about anyone else. But if Rossi is racing, they might have a look at ten minutes of MotoGP before switching to NASCAR from Talladega, or boring so called "super" cars from buttholeville in straya.

Today most people know Travis Pastrana, Burt Munro and John Britten. (Is it just my generation who still idolise Ricky Carmichael?).

Stoner is the man of the moment but he has a long way to go before gaining 'Rossi' status.
