    They'd have to have a good Kevlar content in the bottom to get good wear.
    Wouldn't want to climb in them though.

    I am going to check some out. I need new running shoes but I prefer barefoot so the vibrams sound right for me.

    Careful what you run on and your style, barefoot can feel better/faster, but on pavement it's a good way to fuck up you feet.

    Which is why you get running shoes! Got the bouncy bit under the ball of your feet to cushion against the pavement, and get the right pronation style and you'll likely be doing a lot better than going without.
