    Blog now updated

    http://throughtheeyesofarider.wordpr...february-2012/

If you like it please leave a comment or reblog it.

    Cheers.

"I wake up early to clear blue skies, it seems like it will be a beautiful day, but that was destined to change. Within half and hour, rain is pouring down from the heavens and I am sure God is sitting there with a smug smile on his face.

Time to go so I don the rain jacket, scarf and riding gear and off into the rain I ride, half way to the petrol station where we are meeting the rain starts to drop off and there is hope yet for a nice day, or at least a dry one.

We all gather at the petrol station, have a quick coffee, talk some shit and then after a short briefing we are off. There is a group of around 21 riders, with an eclectic range of bikes, from road legal dirt bikes to cruisers and sports bikes of all shapes and sizes. We leave in one large group and sit on the monotonous 100km/h as we move to the next meeting point to pick up one more biker who goes by the screen name of Phreak.

The picture above is where we first stopped and lit up a quick fag and waited till Phreak arrived, we later found out that he had slept in, which would explain why we waited for so long. We set off again on the main motorway which takes us through a few towns, puttering along till we can finally get to some twist roads."
Rest in peace Tony - you will be missed.

This part makes it sound more tedious than it actually was...

''We set off again on the main motorway which takes us through a few towns, puttering along till we can finally get to some twist roads."

Te Ohaki rd is not the main motorway.

I know I shouldn't be so anal about stopping places but, alot of time goes into these rides and selecting the 'where to stop' stops etc.
It is only decent to call ahead and tell the cafe' owner that 20 bikers will be there around whatever time, and it winds me up when other choose to stop where ever the hell they want to.
Maybe I should relax around that? dont know.

''We stopped in a small town not long after the twisty bit and some of the group went in to get coffee whilst waiting for the rest of the guys, when they finally arrived, Mark (The ride leader/organiser) was pretty pissed we hadn’t left a marker and rode off ahead to our lunch destination and we were left waiting for the earful we new was going to come.''

The internets shortest blog ''It was a great trip in all and we had many a laugh''

Na it is fair enough mate, unfortunately there was a mis-understanding and it didn't go to plan ( I like things going to plan as well) so it kinda messed everything up a bit.

I probably won't be able to attend the next ride, work is so flat out now, but I hope you guys have a blast! Will keep tuned in to all the updates anyways, you never know what'll happen closer to the date.

I still plan on being in Auckland on the 3rd of March though! Really looking forward to the run... :-)

Yes the 3rd is really important and things are panning out well where that is concernd.
I wont do anything about the ride until after that date..the relay is where our attention is focused for the now.
There is a good number of people involved with that event, from the relay itself to the baton ride.

Thumbs up Support the L's Angels - BUY A T-SHIRT!

Right people, who wants to support the Relay for Life team L's Angels and buy a T-shirt???

They'll be around $16.50 - $20 cost price, and then anything on top of that you're willing to pay will go to the Cancer society.

Taking bookings now.. I need to know who wants a shirt and what size they want.

I've also put an image up of the shirts so you can choose a size - they're from blank cotton
