North Island Series after 3 rounds. Tight at the top!

Great racing this weekend, sorry about the weather. This is how it looks...

    120 Avalon Biddle
    120 Kel Nicolson
    119 Rick Ford
    104 Steve Booth
    83 Gavin Veltmeyer
    71 Warrick Head
    49 Andrew Adlam
    41 Malcolm Nabbs
    41 Mike Kyle
    39 Carl Smith
    38 Gary Cunningham
    35 Rogan Chandler
    34 Tim Fraser
    34 John Steer
    30 Ken Douglas
    28 Kamil Chodor
    26 Adrian Mitchell
    25 Henk Zeeven
    17 Ryan Firn
    15 Grant Nicholson
    15 Caleb Adlam
    15 Ivan Smith
    11 Dave Manuell
    10 Brian Steffensen

See the quiet achievers like Steve Booth waiting in the background to jump when all the 2 strokes seize and Gavin gets a free holiday to Hawaii on short notice...

Given the mix of fast guys to come out at Kaitoke it could be a very dynamic last round.

B grade would be Josh Head in the lead, followed by a group of riders, with William Ford in amongst that lot.
Julie, Michelle and Helen are having fun wherever the heck they're sitting at the back of the field, and I've decided I'd rather have one of the girls out there with me than all the guys. William was being a little smartarse yesterday but what he didn't realise was he was getting me to laugh so much at him, that I wasn't able to concentrate at all on what I was trying to do (get around the track, without falling off).

I also have to admit, that when you're watching what the flag marshalls are doing, instead of paying attention to what you're doing, trying to figure out whether there is a toe slider attached to that bit of tape on the sweeper, noticing there's more petrol in that puddle on the corner than last time, you really should pull off the track as you obviously cannot pay attention to what you're doing. But the good thing was, while I had the odd thought of "I'm hungry, and I need to pee, plus it's cold" it wasn't all I thought about all "race".

I do enjoy the fact we're not getting points and just riding for experience and the hell of it. Plus we're seeing some cool new tracks and just having a general ball.

With Av leaving the country (crazy considering the prestige of the NI Series??) that leaves Kel and Rick at the top of the heap with a few options like Gav and Steve and.... Warrick!! Its going to be good.
