I used to stop there in the 70's when I was going to and from Canterbury Uni and it was a good restaurant of the era selling real food like sausages eggs and chips or steak eggs and chips. The real class back then was adding the little pile of coleslaw on the side.

Bit shabby compared to John Bootes crew s fashion of the day. What self respecting mechanic of the era would dare venture out in public without a spark plug armband.

Yikes, who would have known. I used to like it when people wore socks with them, especially odd socks.

They were known in the Mainland as Spyda Sandals - and when paired with a nice set of Kirb shorts, are a TRUE fashion statement
