Will try to make it but we will see. Life still getting in the way of riding.![]()
I'll be there if the weather permits and I can get a new clutch cable in between now and then![]()
I will be having dinner at the posh diner tonight again, before the ride.
See you there
Just a short report on from last SASS: After the pub, the Suzuki started to run really rough. Before that it had died at the car park and Rob managed to find that the +ve battery connection was loose, so managed to revive it. Starting off from the pub later on, however, it was spluttering and backfiring, and only managed about 30kph. Headlight wouldn't come on either...
Just got on the motorway with Rob and Chris playing mother hens when Rob said it just wasn't safe, so we turned off the motorway and left the Suzuki at my workplace which wasn't far away. The next day, had a look at the bike with a couple of workmates and we found a blown fuse, plus tightened the loose battery connection. Bike started right away but headlight wouldn't come on. Rolled the bike out for a test ride and the headlight came back on! Rode the bike home with no incidents. Whew!
Thanks Rob & Chris! You're awesome, mates!

Plan is to go out through Maraetai and end up at the carpark in Manukau (opposite the police station)
Then we end up at O'Ryans Irish Pub which was The Bog. Behind Lone Star (near TelstraClear Centre)
If you don't get time to grab the scoot, some of us have been known to use 4 wheels.
I'm coming tonight...though i might have to bail for the customary pub beverage.
Tig-wasn't thinking and assumed the blokey escort would do. Sorry to read things took a turn, but glad you were able to find the proby and fix the next day. Well done spokey & co.

Correct me if I'm wrong, have only been to SASS a couple times, but I'm sure I saw Sis this morning on the motorway.. pinching car mirrors as she rode by.
I sat behind you for a few minutes before passing in the next lane, stupidly wasn't expecting so much traffic so I was almost late to work.
So if you noticed the blue ninja who pulled in front of you (after checking that you were futher back mind you!), and probably splitting too fast, that was me.
Gidday.
I noticed the bike. Wondered if it was someone I knew
I was a bit pissed off with 2 cars that were dilerberately trying to block me
When I got to work I had a message from police telling me that they will pull me over next time. The male voice mentioned about the Harley. What has that got to do lane splitting or pinching mirrors.
I can do it just as well on the CBR
By the way, CBR is back on the road and going up for sale
Pass the word around if you know of anyone who would like one - "one careful lady owner"
Hey y'all-not gonna make it tonight...working. Have a good run, hope the weather plays ball.![]()
