    "Good Driver" thread

So, i'll start this. For reporting good drivers you encounter on the road. a fucking rarity, really, generally something you see that is above and beyond the expectations.

Aucklanders doing the speed limit on the motorway, or generally following the road code, while even rarer, are not what this thread is for. I was thinking of a bad driver thread, too (left it for now). But a similar condition would need to be imposed in consideration of bandwidth and server space....

    SO.

I would like to thumbsup the guy in the blue falcon up at kumeu the other day, who, despite the double yellows and a queue of 20 cars in front of him, kept left and offered me a wave past. (on teh bike)

I was stopped on Woodcocks today to let a flock of sheep pass. When the road was clear the driver in front stuck his arm out the window and waved me past.

I vote subject. Only good driver I could think of would be the guy in the blue ute in Hamilton who pulled out in front of me but then actually stopped when I honked my horn at him. Thanks for being such a good driver that you saw me once I used my horn.

(And I think a few people have OP ignored).

How about the thousands of drivers every day that actually do stop for bikes at T intersections?

I followed a car for about 30 seconds today and the driver didn't do anything stupid or erratic.

How do I claim my prize?

Two this morning on my commute to work on the S-western down to Manukau - a blue Nissan Tida and a white pick-up moved over to let me pass, even though there was traffic ahead of them.

Surely you mean sodomite? That's what Governments are for.

Come to think of it, all the drivers that don't run in to the back of us deserve a pat on the back.

Being a believer in the power of suggestion and positive reinforcement, I've thought for a while that it would be nice if our ACC money could be used on an ad campaign with a positive spin

Lets a vehicle into the line of traffic? Leeeeegend

Looks in his mirror for a motorcyclist filtering? Bloooody Leeeegend

Driving slow so pulls over to let the traffic through? Give that man a DB

    You get the idea

    Flaming commences in 3,2,1...
