Yep lol, the cop pulled up a bunch of bikers (ie potential witnesses) for no reason and a speeding ticket magically appeared for no reason.

Then, a cop possibly broke the police code of conduct and a citizen possibly gave him no reason to do so but the cop was possibly taped swearing at him. What is the world coming to?

    Meanwhile a border collie waits.....

YET ........... the CVIU in Hamilton stop trucks on the 2 bus stops at Te Rapa to check them ....... I always wonder ... is the issued tickets legal ??? might check and find out .... if its ruled as an illegal obtaining of evidence then maybe they will be ordered to refund all the tickets they have ever handed out on the bus stop?!?!?!
And if I happened to stop on the bus stop for any other reason, I bet they would ticket me for it.

But then ........ in NZ theres the old saying .... a law for them and a law for us.

Every one bemoans the loss of the good old days where cops could clip a kid around the ears for being a cock.

But now when they try everyone goes all PC.

Exactly! This little shit clearly flipped the cop off to set him up, what a turd. I don't have a very high opinion of our cops in general based on recent experiences but I know unfair when I see it and if the roles were reversed this would be called 'entrapment'.

In my loooong experience if a cop swears, he's about to let you off for something you deserve - it's the polite sanctimonous ones that screw you over.

I remember officer Jim Harland smacking me on the forehead 20 years ago saying "Don't let me catch you doing that again!" - now THAT was policing! I swear I was so scared of letting him down I drove slowly for weeks

He'd have been done for assault now and lost his job - me, I prefer the old way!

I don't like the idea of cops smacking or abusing anyone but I saw this TV programme about young shitheads being "counselled" loudly by huge nasty convicts in the USA. That seemed to work.

It's called respect for the law. Something very noticeable by its absence these days.

Not only respect for the law Ed, but respect in general.

Speaking as one who has been on the recieving end of a snakes rage and an illegal vehicle search on the side of the road. Good on the kid recording the exchange.

All it did for me was make me think twice before I would ever help out the rozza.

On what grounds did the cop(s) execute the search under?

Yet the funny thing is, last time I got pulled I was speeding,, one of the 4kph tolerance weekends.. following a string of cars at 90-95 kph on the twisty section before the desert road 'proper'... I saw a safe gap, and stooopid decided to overtake,, yup one of our boys in blue came round the 'distant' corner about 3/4 of the way through the manoeuvre. Anyway, I carried on, 'hoping'; and sure enough a couple of minutes later saw a mobile discotheque coming up behind me. I travelled about another 1-1.5k's indicating left till I found a passing/pull over bay and stopped.
As I wear earplugs I had to remove my helmet, so just asked him to 'wait a second please' as I took my lid off. He was a very pleasant YOUNG Officer and had a wee natter about my rate of quickosity. At the end I was 'hit' for 112kph, and we both knew I had been doing a little more rapidity than that.. but it was my 'terminal speed' as I was passing the final car's bonnet. Funny thing is I was pleasant towards him, he was equally pleasant towards myself...... Now I do accept I am considered a more 'senior' rider for age...

But I just wonder if there's a moral in this wee story??

At least the kid was supposedly doing some 'good old days' stuff.
Recording a song off the radio, that brings back some memories.

Doing it today using an iPhone, yeah right.
