This is mine haven't got around to making any vids as of yet. 2" lift and 35s, factory roll cage, front and rear lockers, sway bar disconnects and low range gearing nearly twice the reduction of a Hilux (73:1). 6spd manual V6 good for 14l/100km at 100kmh A fucking expensive hobby.

People keep spending so much money to do up an SUV, so I always ask "why not buy a dirt bike?". For the same price as some 20 year old piece of shit Landcruiser or Safari you can buy a decent brand new dirt bike or a very nice near new dirt bike. It's a no brainer really. The dirt bike is going to be so much more fun as well.

Perhaps you have never had fun 4x4ing, but I sure have. Different sort of buzz to dirtbiking,
Even my old shitter ute still gives me hours of fun up in the bush.

I sure have been 4wding in a few different trucks, Terranos, Pajeros, Bighorn with air locker, snorkel, 33" mud tyres etc, and it's fun, but less than half as much fun as a dirt bike and 10X the cost (for a decent SUV).

The cost of buying a decent SUV in the first place is ridiculous, as looking on Trademe people are still asking (and paying) $25k for an old high mileage vehicle.

Different sort of fun. Some of us carry injuries that don't like dirtbikes too. You can have a mate along for the ride. There's many reasons.
No argument about the price of some of the old ones tho...

A fucked way of looking at it, why do people drop 100+ grand on an HSV or M5 when they can have an R1 for 20.

Some of us need our bodies to make some coin so the dirt bikes been put on hold for now.
